What It Means To Go "High Vibe"

Updated: Feb 17, 2020

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."

~Nikola Tesla

I'm always talking about creating high vibrational art or grounding energy to help others reach their highest potential. I realize that many may not know what I'm referencing when I speak of this "high vibe" lifestyle. It all comes down to energy!

Energy is everywhere. Energy is everything. We are energy. According to Stephen Hawking's String Theory, the smallest foundational elements of the universe are thought to be "strings" that vibrate at different frequencies to determine the particle outcomes within the universe. These vibrations and outputs create the energy that surrounds and affects us throughout all moments of our lives. Energy vibrations occur on a scale from lower frequencies to higher frequencies. This is evident in measurements of sound waves, the visual spectrum, and brain waves.

Dr. David R. Hawkins created a Map of Consciousness® to classify the characteristics of the different vibrational frequencies that affect our consciousness. To the right is a simplified visual representation of the scale from higher to lower vibrational energies and the related consequences. Lower vibrational living is accompanied with feelings of fear, grief, guilt, and shame. Higher vibrational living is accompanied by feelings of love, joy, and peace.

The importance of living "high vibe" and surrounding oneself with positive energy is evident in the practices of feng shui. Construction in Asian countries like China and Hong Kong is based in feng shui's practices of energy flow. Skyscrapers in Hong Kong are known for having large holes in them to allow dragons to fly from the mountains to the water. This symbolizes the allowance of energy to flow freely to bring happiness and prosperity. These practices are taken seriously for a reason. In fact, the bad feng shui of the Bank of China Tower is blamed for the failure of the surrounding businesses.

Many go through their lives unaware of the energy they carry within themselves or surround themselves with in their environment. This lack of understanding and neglect of intentional practices does not allow freedom. One can not break free of this prison without the insight to the existence of the prison itself. This lifestyle allows an external locus of control in which other forces dictate outcomes. A lifestyle that aims to be high vibrational allows an internal locus of control to transform yourself and your environment.

This knowledge is nothing new to the spiritual and wellness worlds. However, science and spirituality are growing ever closer as scientists find new evidence to prove the importance of channeling energy. For example, scientists in Korea found evidence to prove the energy meridian theory of the human body that has long been the basis of acupuncture. Similar energy meridians, called ley lines, are believed to be in Earth as well. Major landmarks like the pyramids at Giza, Machu Picchu, and Stonehenge align with these energy meridians, evidencing the ancient knowledge of the importance of the energy of one's environment.

So what does it mean to be "high vibe?"

Being high vibe means being intentional and aware of your energy. Are you allowing your energy to flow freely and positively? Or are you going through the motions, surrounding yourself with an invisible burden of negativity? The first step to going high vibe is becoming aware. You can transform your environment and you can transform your thoughts, actions, and feelings. Working on yourself takes time and practice, but transforming your environment is much simpler. This is the the basis of all of my work. I recognize the subconscious, primal reaction that we all have when we enter a space. The simple action of changing your environment can affect your brain waves to bring you out of Beta waves and closer to flow. This opens the space for harmony and creation.

What type of energy are you harnessing in your home or at work? My process follows the same foundational practices as feng shui and acupuncture in relation to the flow of energy. I want to remove anything in the space that does not align with the desired energy and create art that can aid in harnessing the desired energy so that you can begin using it to your advantage.
